UTSA Percussion Camp

The UTSA Department of Music is excited to present the 2025 UTSA Percussion Camp!! Our mission is to offer a “total percussion” experience for both middle and high school students graduating 6th-12th grade. Students should have at least one year of experience studying Percussion to participate in the UTSA Percussion Camp (band, private lessons, or similar).

Students will be immersed in the exciting world of percussion, helping to develop their technique and musicality, improve their sight-reading abilities, and learn new styles of music. Through interactive masterclasses, talks, music technology sessions, and ensemble experiences students will receive instruction from UTSA faculty members Sherry Rubins and Paul Millette and other guest instructors including Rene Gonzalez, Steven Partida, and Brad Arnold.

Camp will meet daily in person from 8:30 am to 5pm Monday July 7th – Friday July 11th with a final concert on Friday afternoon. Parents, friends and family are invited to attend this free student performance in the UTSA Recital Hall.
