On-Corps

 
On-Corps is Military City USA’s beginning and intermediate concert and jazz band program for veterans! Under the co-direction of Retired Army SFC Juan Garcia and Retired Air Force MSgt Donald Marchand, UTSA Arts is proud to present this opportunity for a meaningful group learning experience free to all participating veterans. 
 
  • Beginning and Intermediate Concert Band for Veterans
  • Rehearsals on Saturday mornings 9:00 – 11:15 at UTSA’s Main Campus
  • Free to participate
  • No previous musical experience required
  • Instrument loans provided
  • Enjoy the camaraderie of learning and playing music with your fellow veterans
  • 210 Veterans Jazz Band for intermediate level players (rehearses from 11:30 – 1:00). Openings for all jazz instruments, including guitar, drumset, piano, and bass.
  • Information and instrument tryout session for new members: August 23rd at 9:00 a.m.

Thanks to the UTSA School of Music and support from the Texas Commission on the Arts as well as from individuals, foundations, and corporations, this program is made available free to all participating veterans. Event Registration Details
Saturdays | September 7th - May 9th
VETERANS 
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. 
Registration Deadline: August 18th at 11:59 p.m. 
REGISTER

Location: Arts Building, UTSA Main Campus (Main Campus Map)

Parking: Free parking is available in the UTSA surface lots in Employee A, Employee B, and unmarked Commuter spaces on Saturdays. 

Note: Oboe and bassoon cannot be provided, but if you own one of these instruments you would be welcome to play it.
